Yeah, I think a lot of people +10'd her due to her normal "effective against infantry" weapon. But now everything seems armored even if it doesn't look armored, so... hopefully her refine is worthwhile.

Holy out of nowhere unannounced FEH channel, Feh!

I like the concert hall idea. There are songs familiar to me that I don't have the titles or even the game memorized. This lets me listen to them on my phone without actually seeking them out and downloading them.

"These songs aren't just for the concert hall, but can be set for other areas of the game." FINALLY! I've been wanting new castle music for literally ever, and was sad that my AR defense map never had custom music from the start. I know exactly what music I want, too.

5 different presets for AR maps. Handy. I rarely change mine, but uh, this will help the higher tier people. The copy/edit feature is especially helpful since I will most likely just change my units and nothing else.

HM increase has been needed for a while. Sad it's only by 1000, but I'll take it.

Weekly book 1 rotating banners: YES. Makes it easier to get older units that are now out of the new pools, while knowing they'll rotate back if we don't get them right away. (Even if you don't care about old units due to power creep, this still means a new weekly free pull).

Not sure how I feel about Rokkr Sieges... But I'll take those 20 orbs. (Also, why is pre-registration necessary? Still not sure why that's needed for Grand Conquest either).

I feel like pre-reg in mobile games might have some arcane techy explanation involving database limitations or something but I'm just spitballing. I can't recall anything similar in console or PC games unless you count MMO server queues or something.

Anyway, Siege looks like a better version of that Guardian boss thing in SMT DX2's Aura Gate which was pretty cool there so I'm down.

Loving the Concert Hall custom soundtrack stuff and it's cool to see tracks in there from PoR, Thracia, Blazing Blade, etc. Wonder how much there'll be and how often they'll add more.

Raising the HM cap by 1000 just makes me wonder how many characters I still have slumming it down in the low hundreds :pac

But are people who don't/can't pre-register for these events actually locked out? I've always been able to pre-reg so I've never tested it or anything. But I'm also a daily player. I'm truly curious to know if people are locked out or not.

It's said that they *will* add more to the music, but not how often. Which is fine. We already have to unlock songs with the few Aether Resort hearts we get so it'll take a while. And there's a lot of existing music that's good. Eternal Bond is already in the game so I'm happy.

Regarding HM... ugh, I've already overused the people I've maxed. It will be nice to not feel guilty using them again, however short lived.

Called it: it's an Awakening banner, and with all kid units. Still no Cynthia, though :(

I was ready to pass on Yarne because I don't care for him as a character but he comes with Galeforce and a full skill set... shit.

Kjelle is alright as a character but her skill set is meh here. Nice new lance, though. Would do great with DC but that's a high investment.

I like Brady as a character but his skill set is pretty meh for Heroes.

Nah's cool and she has a unique weapon and skill, but she's *another* red dragon. I have a lot of those.

No word yet on a GHB/TT free unit (if any). At least we get summon tickets through FB so I'll use those, but I don't think I'll seriously pull.

Edit: Thanks to a Twitter conversation, the in-game announcements (which I didn't know updated since the forced viewing from my first opening of the app this morning) say that Cynthia is the free unit. FUCK YES! I don't even need to spend orbs on my girl. No word on her stats/skills yet, but I think I finally found a grail candidate if she doesn't completely suck.

Yarne is another bunny unit, so I wannnt him for Sharena's bunny pals.

Kjelle's armor makes her look like a mecha, otherwise not super inspired.

Brady gives me Kanji vibes, wouldn't be sad if I got him but not gonna go out of my way.

Is Nah like Nowi's younger sister or something? Coulda told me it's a younger Nowi and I'd believe it. They do seem to enjoy these new C skills that give A skill effects. Next we'll see like a "Infantry Distant Counter 3" or something :pacdown

I supported Karla in the voting gauntlet, then switched to my man Bartre when she lost. Diedre was unstoppable though haha.

Brady is kind of similar to Kanji, yeah. He looks tough but he's a big softie (his quote in the trailer even references that). But yeah, not going out of my way for an infantry healer unless they release an Archsage Soren alt.

Nah is Nowi's daughter. Someone on Twitter was complaining "another Tiki alt!?" and I couldn't tell if they were being ironic or not.

I picked Dierdre in the end only because I hate Bartre with a passion. I wish him and his creepy mustache would stay out of my green pulls.

Same with Karla. I'm surprised she lost. More surprised to see Barte in the final, I don't really know the Fire Emblem fandom super well but he doesn't seem that popular just going by the various threads I lurk in at least

I didn't like Bartre when I first saw him, but after finding out he's a family man and his wife and daughter are both pretty good I kinda want to build him and set like a family AR defence or something. I currently somehow have zero Bartre in my collection so maybe later :pac

Yeah, he seems like a good person, but being disappointed by pulling him (at 3-4 stars) so many times in Heroes when going for others can ruin a character.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of his art, and he doesn't have any coveted skills either, so seeing his face show up when you're trying to draw Grima or someone can make him annoying af.

On the bright side, I'll finally be pulling green for the first time in a while tomorrow in hopes of Yarne's skillset. Hopefully I'll get a few Sorens along the way, since he's not far from +10. Can't remember the last time I pulled green.

It's nice that I was finally able to change my castle bg music thanks to the free song, but I'm a bit disappointed that only preparation-related songs are available now. I'm sure that's on purpose so they can roll out more later in bits and pieces, but the FEH channel left me with the impression that I could change my AR defense map music. Turns out it's just the music while you're messing around editing the mode/teams, and not the music your opponents hear on your map.

Now that we can set up five AR defenses, I've gone and done em all but I'm looking for feedback on how to improve my theming.

SPRING WEDDINGS
Of course I have Wrys the well known celebrant, I've shipped Charlotte and Alfonse ever since I got them with their matching spoon weapons, and the other side is just the most bridey and groomy I could find. I could change it to LA!Eliwood and Basic!Ninian if that fits the theme better though(?) since I know they're a couple and he's groomy while she wears non-wedding white. I tried to make the map look like a church, thoughts/improvements?

SUMMER FUN IN THE SUN
Mostly I just wanted to put a bunch of beach/heat themed units on a beach map, especially since I got Summer!Gaius. Should I put some planter gardens in there or something? Is the Feh statue out of place?

HAPPY FAMILY EDITION
Pretend that's Bartre lol. As I mentioned before I wanted to do a Karla family team. I should probably pull Kagero out of there she was mostly just on theme via her haircut. They lived in a hut in the mountains right? I made the map pretty sparse to kind of reflect that. Let me know if I'm wrong.

WINTER FUN TRYHARD VERSION
I have a regular winter team with the four armors there, all balanced to have 50 attack so they get +6 ATK / +5 DEF / +5 RES from Winter!Eirika. I dropped Ylgr in there because she's winter themed and also has 50 attack to get the buffs. Because the buffs mean all units can move anywhere and keep all the buffs, I figured I might as well try to make a decent defense layout. Thoughts on how defensive this is?

PICNIC TIME
It's food and draaank themed units having picnics. You've got the boozy ladies on one side, and regular picnic types on the other. I might change Spring!Kagero to Regular!Kagero with the carrot since the carrot is more prominent on the less busy design. Also open to suggestions on replacements for Summer!Robin, a fish on a spear isn't super picnicy. The traps are supposed to represent picnic blankets and the ruined wall with the arch is like the campground.

Definitely keen to hear any feedback (mostly on aesthetics).

Honestly I'm terrible at AR defense both aesthetically and tactically, but those are all cute ideas!

This update is worth it for Brady's "deal with it" glasses alone. They're hilarious on Soren.

No luck with my free pull or first summon ticket yet, but I'm pulling all greens in each round after use. Only orbs I plan on spending until the legendary banner. Nothing of note but of course I got a fucking BARTRE.

Here's what I assume must be the final Three Houses trailer. It feels like it might be somewhat more spoilery than the others?
Spoiler for is this actually a spoiler? I dunno :
it implies a fairly significant time jump, but I gather that's not unusual for a series that already does generational stuff

Aww shit, I love it. It seemed... not dark enough for Fire Emblem before? Now it makes sense.

I spent all my tickets and pulled maybe 1 extra green on each round (so maybe 20 orbs?) and got nothing, not even a spare Soren. I'm sitting at 250 orbs and I don't want to go below that before the next legendary banner, so I will snipe accordingly to not go below that amount.

Also I finally bit the bullet and pre-ordered 3H so now I HAVE to get a Switch by then. Not now since I'm playing PQ2 and have Trails of Cold Steel 2 on deck. But, now I need to time it and have it arrive on a day when I'm not working, but like, not this week.

Shit's finally happening! Also, I'm team Edlegard still. I really like her future design. I see others switching sides. The designs of the dudes aren't bad but I'm sticking with my girl.

I'd be Team Claude if he were constantly floating upside down like on the boxart. But since he's just as affected by gravity as everyone else, yeah, count me in for Team Edlegard.

Helps that her house seems to have a lot of the better (known) characters so far but I dunno how that'll end up shaking out in the actual game. Probably shouldn't expect a Suikoden Trinity Sight situation or anything regarding recruitment but who knows which characters will become available at which times due to which player choices.

Well, and unlike Fates which is split into literally 3 games, this is just one game, but with 3 ways to go. Much better way to handle the different perspectives. Also no dumb "babyrealm" shit. Glad they jumped off that train.

So Kagero's Unique Weapon is out, her weapon has "If her attack is higher than her opponents, swift sparrow" and the special refine is "reduce the damage from foes first attack when she initiates".

I'm not sure how to feel about it, my Kagero would have 53 atk (57 on initiation with swift sparrow in A) so I guess that triggers pretty often, but then does the PRF have synergy or anti-synergy with Desperation?

My other build on her is Close Counter / Vantage, both which seem less good, leaving my attack on init to 53, and vantage being enemy phase which doesn't use the PRF.

I currently run the Lethal Carrot on her, which just has +10 damage on specials - so I guess her unique is better..?

From what I've read on Gamefaqs, most people are disappointed with her refine. She had a niche with the anti-infantry thing, and they killed it. I don't use her enough to bother spending the dew on it so I haven't used it, but now when I see Kagero on random maps (say, forging bonds), I'm like, "shit, better keep infantry out of her range" until I notice that she has her new weapon, and now it's like, "lol nevermind" and I just rush her.

It's probably an upgrade for people who know what they're doing, but maybe not a casual player like me, and it certainly doesn't seem to be helping the AI. I got Elincia's refine, though.

I also upgraded my Cynthia and got her to level 40 today. She isn't fully built yet since we won't have the double SP until tomorrow, but she's close. I put death blow in her A slot, and Astra as her special. Since she can't counter with her default weapon (which I want to keep), speed is useless so I figure going overboard on attack is the best way to go. Thoughts? I like her a lot so far.

Re: [Fire Emblem] Ah Yes, the Three Houses

Seems like she has solid speed so yeah deathblow is a solid choice. Swift Sparrow may be more consistent in ensuring she makes and denies followups. The alternative is Life & Death which a lot of people run on firesweep weapons since they can't get hit back and it just pushes up their raw offensive stats.

I currently run deathblow on Cordelia, and she has less speed than Cynthia so you should be fine with that. Definitely consider Drag Back (or Hit and Run) on your B-slot, it really helps firesweepers get out of trouble again after they hit someone. I run it on both my melee firesweepers (Soleil and Cordelia).

I've already seen drag back on a few builds so far, which is weird, because that's a skill I literally forget about and immediately replace on someone that comes with it. So it's good on Sweep users?

Yay for the 20 bonus orbs. Sniped twice, got a +spd 4* Reyson (I've been wanting to upgrade him but my other copies have shit IVs) and a +atk Yarne. Now I can save for the legendary banner again and I'm still above 250 orbs. No extra Sorens, though :/
