Yeah, I should abandon the Shock and start reppin' Shanghai. Ain't like San Fran are all that much better plus I sure didn't see the Dragons' social media people clinging onto the knuckles meme for as long as the Shock's. Christ.

...sucks that I already spent my freebie OWL tokens. :pacdown

I just noticed the standings now include a map victory differential to break up ties in the standings. That's cool.

Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed that. There are fewer big sweeps now than when we started, but that's still gonna make the math more interesting, yeah.

oh yeah and their new hires are stuck overseas until their visas clear, too. So probably no Geguri until late Stage 2. :pacdown

Stage 3! That's when the turnaround truly begins!

OWL has a new viewership rewards program for folks with battle.net and Twitch accounts. Link 'em together, watch some OWL, get tokens, spend 'em in-game on OWL skins.

Sometimes you'll get a big drop of 100 tokens so you can buy a skin immediately. I got one of those last night, so I'm starting my Shanghai Dragons collection. Of course, after each drop like that, I have to go do math on the OWL website, because :can

heck yeah it's New Hero Day

She'll be a support/tank hybrid, which is a pretty rare or nonexistent class mix. Her kit makes her kind of a faster Reinhardt built for anti-flanker defence (specifically great to hard-counter Tracers and Genjis I think) and strong healing and armour buffs. I can't wait to see how her big AOE support ultimate stacks with Lucio's Sound Barrier and Zenyatta's Transcendence.

If the progression continues and new heroes tend to be people we've seen before in various side material then hopefully Junker Queen is next. :swoon (Or even Jetpack Cat!)

I wonder if OWL will have her in their Stage 3 build or if they'll wait for later. I don't know esports well enough to know how league play deals with totally new characters.

Dallas keeps losing games with or without their golden boy xQc in the lineup, so... here he is smashing his keyboard on Twitter, as one does

but surely he won't also pick fights with the commentators and then get owned by said commentator right

Dragons' coach is OUT. The traditional response from a panicking, under-performing team.

Huh, I'm surprised they didn't wait for their new arrivals first. I guess they want a fully fresh start with a mostly-fresh lineup.

I've been watching Geguri stream a little recently. I haven't seen her famous Zarya yet, but her D.Va play is also quite strong. Shanghai's current roster seems to be at their best when they're running big tank compositions and giving few shits, so when Geguri gets in, hopefully that'll finally translate into a win.

Shanghai, if you want to fight, make it a fight. And if you want to win... make it a win.

Shanghai just took a map off Seoul and looked good doing it. (Seoul being stubborn with their composition long after it obviously stopped being effective maybe had a lot to do with it.)

Twitch chat, in addition to being unreadable to the point of uselessness on larger channels, is maybe also part of the problem.

there's this one San Francisco Shock superfan in the crowd the last couple days who's got this crazy loud WHAAAOOOOOO and at first it was annoying as hell 'cause he does it like every five minutes but now I think it's wrapped around the other side and become kinda hilarious

Poker Night is such a cool idea to have a crossover for characters who might not easily fit into your standard Smash Brothers-style fighter. I hope someone takes the idea and runs with it.

I'd really like more Poker Night games. Hell, now's a good time considering the shape Telltale seems to be in these days. :pacdown

Give me... Data (with his goofy poker visor), Nick Valentine, Chloe Price, and 'cause this is the Overwatch thread, either McCree, Soldier 76, or Sombra.
