Waypoint Radio 258 starts off amazing (I'm still at the start but had to come talk about it). I recommend you look at this as they go through the new teams:

While at first glance LA was the most boring, boy does it take a turn in this podcast. :pac

the los angeles "oh fuck yes please tread on me" wildcats

christ that's some sub-sub-sub-esports branding going on there. that Seattle Dragons logo is far, far inferior to my real Dragons over in Shanghai, for instance. this is all worse than the other feeder leagues, too. that old joke about the CFL having two teams called the Roughriders? still better than this. XFL trading in some real high school bullshit. my teenage cousin playing for a high school team putting out merch using papyrus font? better than the XFL

they didn't even listen to Strong Bad

The talk about Control on Waypoint Radio 259 is so good, like you can feel how everything they're saying is getting Austin more and more in on it. I have the game and am really looking forward to playing it.

yeah everything I've seen and heard of Control sounds amazing, plus Alan Wake owned, so it's probably 100% my shit, especially if it's trending more X-Files this time around

...unfortunately, I'm not sure anything I own is capable of running it acceptably. it's gonna be chunky on my PS4 for sure and probably on my PC as well since I still haven't upgraded beyond i5/960. Maybe further patches will help.

Ah yeah that's a damper for sure, especially after the QL where Alex was talking about how it underperforms on PS4 non-pro.

Yeah they play a bit on the monster UPF aswell (at the end) but unsurprisingly they're not as trolly as a certain Dan. I did enjoy Alex coming around on this one though, seemed like he was pretty frustrated early on.

Austin is stepping back a bit from Waypoint, going from EIC to freelance (but still on the pods every week) so he can focus more on other projects

apparently one of those other projects is a New Day graphic novel :pac

With Austin and Danielle moving on, their office is going to be pretty empty! I feel like Austin has become more and more annoyed at the Vice oversight so this totes makes sense.

I'm excited to see the next generation of Waypointers, or Vice Gamerers, or w/e.
