The recent Ryan Davis memorial video on GiantBomb reminded me about Pacman DX Championship Edition and the best song of 2010.

Damn, those Octopath tracks got taken down. Remember which ones they were?

Since the XCOM 2 Legacy Pack DLC and its music came up elsewhere, here's a handful of those, remixes of old old old tracks from the original UFO Defense and other DOS-era XCOM games.

Also, we got to talkin' in J.L. Pipes' latest Star Ocean stream about how it's nice when dungeon and battle music flow into each other naturally or even procedurally, and the best example we came up with was from Yakuza 0, so here it is.

Tetris Effect is a helluva thing. The music as it appears in-game is all procedural, but there are some linear "radio" edits floating around, Certified Bangers all.

As usual, here's this year's Rebel FM Game Music Spectacular

FIVE HOURS OF CERTIFIED BANGERS (I played like one of these games with another in the chamber ready to fire but I'll be damned if a lot of the music in here doesn't make me wanna take a few more last-minute shots)

e: oh, the forum embedded that, heh - here's an actual link with a proper tracklist and stuff
