Twilight Hen STORY 1
A world that is oppressed by power

The rule of the Sereneia Empire continued for hundreds of years.

The empire that prospered in the days of the twelfth emperor Saifa,
Empress Zoe, loved by the people, became epidemic
When it falls down, it begins to show off the shade rapidly.

Corruption of politics by nobles
"Human hunting" by the empire also becomes more intense,
People's complaints reached their limits.

Edit:

"Vandal Crow

CV Kenji Akabane

I am a destroyer ...
The one who ends the world"

Doesn't look like much of a destroyer.

I counted the entries in Tokyo Xanadu's Friend Book and there are almost exactly 108 characters. You have no idea how tempted I am to go ultra-nerd and map them out to the Stars of Destiny.

Am I the only one who still gets the urge to do that?

Funny, considering I worked on the Stars pages for the Gensopedia back in the day, but I never tracked parallels between Suikoden and non-Suikoden characters.

It's a JRPG that stays in a single city (a fictional suburb of Tokyo), so you get to know a lot of the protag's classmates and neighbors and such. Again, not unlike Persona. That's the easiest kind of story to SoD-ize.

The guide on Suikosource is ancient but still good for seeing patterns from stars across the series:
