Her backstory opens up pretty quickly and I love her. Not to mention, her street clothes are badass.

So y'all are all probably a fair distance ahead of me I think (I'm still on 4/20, poking around the castle.) What's the best value for restoratives? Tae's shop and the supermarket for HP stuff and vending machines for SP items?
Also there's a lot of gift shops, so I guess that part of the Persona 3 S-Link system is back. This game is quite the greatest hits collection of Persona series mechanics.

I've been making do with just Dia so far. 3 characters having it helps a lot.

I tend not to waste a ton of money on restoratives. Ann and Morgana have Dia, and Morgana learns Media around the second dungeon.
As for SP restoratives, be sure to do Sojiro's social link. After he teaches you how to brew coffee, you can do that at night for an SP item that restores 30 SP. It also helps his rank ups, so when you go to link him and it says it won't rank up, just make coffee instead, as that gives you the item and counts towards his link, rather than spending time with him and getting nothing out of it.
Edit: You will need an ample amount of revival items for the second palace's main boss. If you don't have enough already, Tae sells some.

Re: [SMT/Persona] 3 Ain't Enough, Man. I Need 5
Finally cleared the first Palace a little earlier. I like the changes they've made to the boss battles. It'll be interesting to see how/if those encounters vary when I eventually do a replay.
And I'm really thankful for the Golden-style network feature, though I keep forgetting to use it in dungeons, I only just noticed that it can be used in class. I probably would've failed that last math question without it. 84% of the playerbase is a lot better at colour pattern stuff than I am I guess. But I wonder if we can rely on the most popular choices always being the correct ones.
Coffee trivia reminds me of Catherine's booze trivia. Nice touch.

The second palace boss is hard, heads up.
I didn't realize the network feature could be used specifically for test questions!? So it's like So You Want to be a Millionaire's ask the audience poll? Interesting (I've been looking up the ones I didn't know online). Also, how do you use it in the dungeons? I had to use it to save me from an ambush once but how do you use it otherwise? I've tried select...
And I like coffee and enjoy the coffee trivia. Some of that is similar to Animal Crossing, though I haven't played that in ages. Never got to the booze trivia part of Catherine but now I want to...

Yeah, in class it works like Ask The Audience or, back to Catherine again, kinda like the world stats you'd get after answering the confession booth questions. I'll see how it works in dungeons once I've gotten to the next Palace. On the PS4, it's the touchpad instead of the select button.
I'm in early May now, the story is taking some pretty unexpected turns...
e: regarding tests though, I haven't reached full-on exams or anything, just random questions, so I dunno if the network function will still be helpful there.

Oh shit, I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.
Heh, the burger challenge is great. Got my first stat bump from that. Too bad I can't remember what I needed Bold guts for.

There's also a funny P3 reference. Ryuji says "going to the bathroom didn't even make me feel better!" which sounds absurd, but it's a reference to using the bathroom making the male protag go from tired to good, or good to great. (And yes, that only worked with the male protag. I guess they didn't like the idea of femc feeling better after a good poo).Deltron wrote:Oh yeah, there was a P4 reference a little while back.

For a great non-SMT reference in early/mid May, there was...
Oh yeah, the DVDs are pretty funny, definitely rent them. Unfortunately I took one just before a long string of story content, so I probably have late fees now and I haven't even started watching it yet.

I thought the same thing about that reference.
And I've been avoiding DVDs since that happened to me the first time. Your first late fee is waived though, so just keep them until you're done.

She's all punchy, right? Permanent team member, if so.
Man, my stats are so behind. I need to do some serious stat grinding after I take down artist guy.

She has Frei magic, which is useful for the dungeon she awakens in, but yeah, she's good with physical too. She also starts with Diarama, so win.

I was also dumb and didn't bring Morgana, so I didn't have anyone with Media. But mainly I was just getting super unlucky with crits and attacks on my weaknesses.
Got it on the third try though. Rampage was key, especially paired with Rakunda.
Post-boss spoilers...

Tae
Ann
Creepy Female Student
